Fuel Price Report 3/2/2021

Can’t stop, won’t stop. We have officially broken the $3 per gallon of diesel fuel threshold for the first time since January 27, 2020, folks.

This week’s national average price of $3.072 per gallon of diesel fuel is up $0.099 from last week’s average and marks a 60 week high (January 6, 2020 at $3.079/gallon of diesel fuel).

As always, the cheapest diesel fuel can be found in the Gulf Coast region at $2.837/gallon, and the most expensive can be found in the state of California at $3.846/gallon.

Outside of California, the most expensive diesel fuel can be found in the Central Atlantic region at $3.2/gallon.

Through the first two months of 2021 the national average price of diesel fuel has risen $0.048 per week, which means, at this rate, we could see prices as high as $3.936/gallon by Independence Day, $4.752/gallon by Halloween, and $5.136/gallon by Christmas.
